How to add a mortgage calculator to a HighLevel funnel or website

Most of our LOs already run their funnels in HighLevel; the calculator becomes one more element on the step.

Free plan, no card. Paid plans include a 14-day trial.

Key takeaways

  1. Use the Custom JS/HTML element in the funnel or website builder.
  2. Preview or open the live step to see it; the builder canvas may not run scripts.
  3. Use the calculator's lead form, not a second HighLevel form, so the numbers travel with the lead.
  4. Webhooks into HighLevel workflows need Producer or Brokerage.

To add a mortgage calculator to a HighLevel funnel or website, drop a Custom JS/HTML element onto the page, paste the snippet from your PrequalFunnel Embed tab, save and preview. Leads save to PrequalFunnel's CRM on every plan; to push them into a HighLevel workflow, add an Inbound Webhook trigger on Producer or Brokerage.

How do you embed the calculator in HighLevel?

The steps describe HighLevel's funnel and website builder as of October 2026; the same element exists in both.

  1. Copy the snippet

In your PrequalFunnel dashboard, open the calculator's Embed tab, choose Inline and copy the snippet.

  2. Open the funnel step

In HighLevel, open the funnel or website and edit the step or page where the calculator should appear.

  3. Add a Custom JS/HTML element

Add a row and column if needed, then add the Custom JS/HTML (code) element from the elements panel.

  4. Paste, save and preview

Open the element's code editor, paste the full snippet, save the element and save the page. Use preview or the live step URL to see the calculator.

  5. Send a test lead

On the live step, run a calculation and submit the lead form with your own details. Check your PrequalFunnel CRM and, if connected, the workflow's execution log.

What goes into the Custom JS/HTML element?

Placeholders show the shape. Copy the exact snippet from the Embed tab in your dashboard; it is the source of truth.

<!-- Pre-qualification calculator, inline -->
<div data-prequal="pre-qualification" data-key="ak_…" data-mode="inline" data-lang="en"></div>

How do you get the test lead into a HighLevel workflow?

Without a webhook, the lead is saved in PrequalFunnel's built-in CRM and you get an email alert; that works on every plan. To create or update the contact in HighLevel and start a workflow, you need Producer or Brokerage.

In HighLevel, create a workflow with the Inbound Webhook trigger and copy its URL. In PrequalFunnel, add that URL as a webhook, for all calculators or for this one only. Then submit a test lead from the live funnel step. HighLevel shows the received payload in the trigger, including contact details, every input and result, and the UTM and click-ID fields, so you can map them to contact and custom fields.

The full field list is on the HighLevel integration page.

Where does the calculator fit in a HighLevel funnel?

Pick the mode that suits the step.

Leads arrive with the page URL, so you can tell which step produced them.
Funnel stepModeWhy
Opt-in or landing stepInlineThe calculator is the offer; the lead form is the opt-in
Thank-you stepPopup buttonA next step for people who already opted in elsewhere
Website pagesFloating bubbleAlways one tap away on every page
Existing HighLevel buttonYour own button (trigger)Keep your design; the button opens the calculator
SMS and emailDirect linkNo embed needed; open a full-page calculator

Should you also add a HighLevel form on the same step?

Usually not. A HighLevel form next to the calculator captures a name and email without the numbers, and borrowers who fill one rarely fill both. Let the calculator's lead form be the opt-in, and use the webhook to create the contact in HighLevel. Keep your NMLS ID, Equal Housing Opportunity statement and approved TCPA consent wording visible on the step, and check with your compliance team or counsel.

What if the calculator or the lead doesn't come through?

Check the step first, then the webhook.

Blank element in the builder

The canvas may not run scripts. Preview the step or open its live URL.

Cut off inside a narrow column

Use a full-width row and one column, or switch to the popup button mode.

Lead in PrequalFunnel but not HighLevel

Check the webhook URL, that the workflow is published, and that your plan is Producer or Brokerage. The lead is never lost; it stays in the CRM.

Fields missing in the mapping

Inputs and results differ by calculator. Send a fresh test lead from the calculator you are routing and remap.

FAQ · 8 questions

Questions loan officers ask

Which HighLevel element do I use?

The Custom JS/HTML element in the funnel or website builder. Paste the full snippet, including the script line.

Why is the element blank while I edit?

The builder canvas may not run embedded scripts. Preview the page or open the live step URL.

Do I need a webhook to use the calculator in HighLevel?

No. Without one, leads save to PrequalFunnel's CRM with an email alert. The webhook, on Producer or Brokerage, is what creates the contact in HighLevel and starts a workflow.

Which HighLevel trigger receives the lead?

The Inbound Webhook trigger in a workflow. Paste its URL into PrequalFunnel, send a test lead, then map the fields.

Can different calculators go to different workflows?

Yes. Add a per-calculator webhook, for example to send FHA calculator leads to an FHA nurture workflow.

Will UTM tags from my HighLevel ads reach HighLevel?

Yes. The payload includes flat utm_* fields, gclid, fbclid, msclkid, landing page and referrer, which you can map to contact fields. See lead attribution.

Can I use the calculator in a HighLevel website, not only funnels?

Yes. The same Custom JS/HTML element is available in websites. The Floating bubble works well site-wide.

What happens if the HighLevel webhook fails?

The lead is still saved in PrequalFunnel's CRM and you still get the email alert, so nothing is lost while you fix the workflow.
