Lead webhook
A lead webhook is an automatic HTTP request that sends each new lead's data, usually as JSON, from the system that captured it to another system, such as a CRM, automation platform or custom endpoint. It fires the moment the lead is submitted, so follow-up workflows can start without anyone copying data by hand.
A webhook is a push, not a pull. The receiving system provides a URL; the sending system posts data to it whenever an event happens. For lead capture, the event is a form submission, and the payload describes the lead.
In PrequalFunnel, Producer and Brokerage plans can POST every lead to HighLevel (as an inbound webhook workflow trigger), Zapier, Make or any URL. The payload includes the event, the calculator, contact details, the submission with every input and result, a timestamp, attribution, and flat fields for utm_* parameters, gclid, fbclid, msclkid, landing page and referrer. You can set different webhooks per calculator, for example sending FHA calculator leads to a dedicated workflow.
Example. A borrower completes the affordability calculator with a $9,000 monthly income and $600 in debts. Within seconds, the webhook posts that data to a HighLevel workflow, which creates the contact, maps income and the maximum price into custom fields, tags the source campaign and notifies the assigned loan officer.
Reliability matters. In PrequalFunnel, a failed webhook never loses the lead, because it is saved in the built-in CRM first. Receiving systems should also handle duplicates sensibly. See webhook integrations for the payload details.

What happens if my webhook endpoint is down?

Do I need a developer to use a lead webhook?
